Precise sealing with amorphous silicone and a refined construction provide full protection for the Insta360 X5 camera even at depths of up to 60 meters. It is an ideal choice for divers, surfers, vloggers, and travelers who want to safely capture every moment of their underwater adventures.
Note: before diving, always carefully check that the housing is properly closed and perform a leak test at a shallow depth. The housing must be evenly and firmly compressed around the entire perimeter to avoid micro-gaps and water ingress.
Four-point protection system
The housing uses an advanced four-part protection system that minimizes the risk of leaks and deformation under pressure. Hinges and buttons are made of 316 stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and saltwater. An amorphous silicone sealing ring adheres evenly to the surface, while the Quad-Lock closure system provides a stable four-point clamping force. Additional structural reinforcements further improve camera safety during deep dives.
Perfect 360° image quality
The spherical housing design is optimized for 360° shooting, remaining practically invisible in the frame and eliminating blind spots. PMMA lenses deliver light transmission of 95–98%, ensuring clean, bright, and high-contrast footage. AR (anti-reflective), Nano Anti-fog, and AS (hydrophobic and anti-smudge) coatings prevent reflections, fogging, and smears. 9H tempered glass effectively protects the optics against scratches, sand, and salt.
Magnetic Quick Release system with 1/4" thread
The modern magnetic base with a 1/4" thread enables fast and convenient mounting of the housing on different accessories – without tools. The housing is compatible with the Insta360 Magnetic Quick Release, and the included 1/4" → GoPro adapter with a long mounting screw lets you use popular mounts, tripods, selfie sticks, and GoPro-style accessories. This makes it easy to configure your setup both above and below the surface.
Easy installation and convenient operation
Mounting the Insta360 X5 inside the housing is quick and simple – just place the camera in the shell and firmly close the Quad-Lock system. All buttons on the housing are precisely shaped and made of 316 stainless steel, providing intuitive control and reliable operation even when wearing gloves and underwater.
